Overall Usage
My overall analysis of data submitted by all users is currently grouped by countries at the following link:
Privacy note about the global maps:
Each dot on the global map represents an individul ride, but the location is not the
exact start or end point. Dots are randomly selected from the ride path
within 10 km of the start, and no points are shown within 500 meters of the
start or end of a ride. This approach helps prevent identification of a
rider’s home or work.
For the global traffic volume map, ways are highlighted based on how many total vehicles
have been recorded on a given "way". A "way" is a small section of road. The sheer volume
of data should make it difficult if not impossible to pinpoint individual ride home or work locations.
